Course Description
During this 4-day intensive, we will study the human figure from the shoulders up through the head. We’ll get started with small face projects (3-d ‘sketches’). Then, building from the shoulders as a starting point, we’ll work our way to the top of the head. Students will then be invited to add texture, additional forms and underglaze to support their storytelling. A variety of construction and decorating techniques will be demonstrated to support your discovery of what best suits you. Please bring a mirror or photos of a human face as well as an open heart and a playful attitude! Workshop fee includes all materials and firings. Once the pieces are through the glaze firing, participants will be notified for pick up. If you live at a distance, shipping is available at cost.

**PAYMENTS:** - MANUAL payments: need to be paid within a week of registering. - CHECK payments: Pay to "Lisa Naples" at 5 S Harrison St. Frenchtown NJ 08825. - CASH payments: Pay in-person within a week of registering. IMPORTANT: If payment is not made within 1 week of booking, then your reserved seat will be forfeited. WORKSHOP CANCELLATION (different cancelation policy due to the nature of students traveling distances) Cancelations that take place greater than 1 month prior to a start date are fully refundable (minus a $100 admin fee). Those that come in 2-4 weeks ahead of a start-date are refunded by half. Those that come in w/in 2 weeks of a start date are non-refundable with the following exceptions: illness, accident, death in family. Registrants who fall into one of these noted categories are given a credit for a future workshop of the same or greater number of days.
