I had the sweet experience last week to tour a group of art appreciators from the Michener Museum through my home and studio. Their presence, curiosity and engagement were a nourishing balm! Such visits remind me of the rich potential of day-to-day, real, lived life over the perceived world 'out there' that I so often find entirely ungraspable.
And although this visit was unrelated to it, I'll also mention that I'll have a solo show at the Michener in 2025. The teaching break I'm taking over these next few months is to allow some space to get the seeds (of ideas) up and out of the rich, dark, fertile soil they've been germinating in for long and long now... to enter the mysterium and make a meaningful start.
